Once again, Memphis closed out a week poorly, falling to the Heat and Rockets on Friday and Saturday. This week they go on a potentially brutal four game West coach road trip. If Memphis can split the four games, that will be considered a victory.
I reached out to @rafnation, editor for @ARoyalPain, to get his take on some questions regarding the Kings and their season so far.
The Grizzlies looked to be in control of the game midway through the 2nd quarter, but the young Kings continued to attack the paint and get easy buckets in transition on their way to a 97-92 win over Memphis.
The Kings are full of young talent, but is that enough?
After going 1-1 in their opening week, the Grizzlies will travel out west for two games and finish up the week at home against the Suns.
The race to the bottom of the NBA has been a fascinating part of the season this year. It has the fans of many teams looking more towards the future than the present. Sacramento fans fall into this category. This is a sad fact for many of us who grew up in their prime and enjoyed match ups between Vlade and Shaq. Can we ever get back to that point where the Kings are a dominant team in the West?
