After a lackluster start saw Memphis fall behind 7-0, the Tigers dominated the Bulls from the middle of the first quarter on. Memphis outgained USF 560 total yards to just 170 for the school from Tampa. Memphis picked up 31 first downs compared to just 5 for Charlie Strong’s squad.
The Memphis defense gave up 17 first quarter points to the Cougars, but allowed just 10 points the rest of the way. Brady White lead the Tigers offensive attack by throwing 5 touchdown passes to four different receivers and using his legs for an additional score. Memphis proved to be too much for the decimated Houston roster, winning on the road 45-27.

Tulane broke an 11-game losing streak to Memphis, winning in the series for the first time since 2000. Tulane gets a potential season-changing win after starting 1-3, while Memphis falls to 0-2 in the AAC after high expectations coming into the season.
Behind 5 TDs from Brady White and 233 rushing yards from Darrell Henderson, Memphis picked up its 2nd win of the season.
Memphis returns a ton of experience in the secondary and at the linebacker position. These units are why most are expecting the Tigers defense to be much improved.
With the graduation of Anthony Miller the Tigers will turn to their depth at receiver and talented tight ends to help fill the void.
