Memphis held a 21-9 lead early in the 4th quarter, but turnovers, questionable play-calling, and their inability to convert and 3rd down proved too much to overcome in the heartbreaking loss to Navy.
After beating Mercer handily to open the season, the Tigers travel to Annapolis to take on AAC foe Navy to open conference play.
