Tyus Jones out with sore knee

Two days before the Grizzlies are slated to restart their season inside the Disney World bubble, the Grizzlies announced that backup PG Tyus Jones will miss time with a sore knee.

The former Duke guard averaged 7.4 points and 4.4 assists in 19 minutes per game this season in his first with Memphis.

With Jones out, De’Anthony Melton will take over the point guard duties for the second unit and we will likely see some more of Ja Morant and Kyle Anderson staying on the floor to run with those guys. Brandon Clarke connected with Morant in a fantastic transition alley-oop in the scrimmage against Miami, so the opportunity to see more of that combination should excite fans.
