Monday evening, class of 2020 5-star shooting guard Jaden Springer made an announcement via Twitter that he has narrowed down his list of potential colleges to five.
Those five schools are Memphis, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and Michigan.
The 6′ 4″ shooting guard plays his AAU ball with @BMazeElite and goes to school at IMG Academy – where another Memphis target and former Whitehaven guard, Matthew Murrell, will be attending in the fall. Springer has offers from most of the powerhouse programs including Kentucky, Kansas, and Villanova.
Springer is listed as the number 11 prospect in his class on the 247 composite rankings. By the same rankings service, he is listed at number 3 in his position.
Currently, Memphis Tigers coach Penny Hardaway does not have any commits for the 2020 class. The Tigers do have one remaining scholarship available for 2019 due to former UALR guard Rayjon Tucker — who was committed to play for Memphis as a graduate transfer — decided to keep his name in the NBA draft this summer.
