With the reinstatement of Will Wade as head basketball coach at LSU, the recruitment of forward Trendon Watford has remained complicated and left Memphis coach Penny Hardaway still trying to shore up his roster for the upcoming season.

On Monday afternoon, Evan Daniels of 247Sports reported that Achiuwa would be making an official visit to Memphis.

Achiuwa – a McDonald’s All-American – represented Team World last week at the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Oregon, earning 15 points and 11 rebounds in the contest against Team USA. Memphis commit James Wiseman played with Team USA in that game and the two speak often according to reports.

Nationally, Achiuwa is ranked #13 by 247sports, #16 by ESPN, and #16 by Rivals.

AAC Conference foe UConn is a school that many have predicted that Precious will end up at. Coach Dan Hurley at UConn currently has 3 ESPN top 100 commits for the 2019 season.
