University of Memphis coach Penny Hardaway extended an offer on Tuesday to five star wing Jaden Springer. Springer is a 6’4″ guard with a 6’7″ wingspan who hails from Charlotte, NC and is currently playing at IMG Academy.
According to scouting reports, Springer is listed as a guard, but is more of a wing player who can guard multiple positions with his length and is more athletic than many of his peers.
Springer is ranked in the top 12 in the class of 2020 by three major ranking services: ESPN (11), 24/7 Sports (12), Rivals (11).
Coach Hardaway’s offer comes the day after Roy Williams from North Carolina extended an offer to Springer.
As of now, there are at least 20 schools that have extended offers to the guard from North Carolina. The list includes blue bloods like Kentucky and NC as well as fellow TN teams in Vanderbilt and UT.
