It had to happen at home. It had to happen against the NBA’s best team. After sitting in two of the last three games, Mike Conley made it happen.
On Wednesday night inside the friendly confines of FedExForum, Mike Conley regained his title as all-time franchise scoring leader for the Memphis Grizzlies on a corner three.
He previously led the franchise in scoring, but due to a shortened season last year with an injury, Marc Gasol passed him – if only for a short time.
Without a doubt, Conley is one of the most accomplished and well liked Grizzlies for his behavior both on and off the court.
According to Basketball-Reference, Mike is second in overall team win shares with 71.2, trailing only Marc Gasol, who has 77.5.
Mike Conley now leads the Memphis NBA franchise in – among others categories – games (786), 3PM (1,082), assists (4,496), and steals (1,159).
