On Friday, the NBA released the schedules for the 2018-19 season. It’s a long season and every game matters, but some games are definitely more fun than others. This is especially true for home games at the FedEx Forum. Check out some quick notes on which games I’ve already circled on my calendar and will make sure to attend this season at the Grind House.

Home opener: Friday October 19th vs the Atlanta Hawks and their lottery draft pick Trae Young. New unis, new floor, Friday night hype? Count me in.
#1 overall pick from 2018 draft, Deandre Ayton, will make his first professional appearance in Memphis on Saturday, October 27th with the Phoenix Suns. He is also teamed up with the #BackdoorCut Crew’s favorite non-Grizz, Devin Booker.
“Wonder Boy” Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks will come to Memphis on Monday, November 19th.
Former Grizzlies coach David Fizdale will bring his new team, the New York Knicks, to town on November 25th for a Sunday afternoon game.
On 11/27, Kawhi Leonard and his new squad from the 6 (Toronto) will make the trip to the bluff city. That is a Tuesday night game.
Saturday, December 8th, LeBron James and the new look Lakers will make their first of 2 appearances in Memphis. Lakers games are always sold out, so if you think you want a ticket, you better get on that ASAP.
If you are the consummate Memphis basketball fan, December 15th is going to be a special day as the Grizzlies play the Rockets after the Memphis Tigers play the UT Vols under the same roof.
Boston visits Memphis on Saturday Dec, 29th. In my book the C’s are the front runner to win the LeBron-less East this season.
January 9th, will pit the Grizzlies against the Spurs. We all hate them, but damnit, we respect them.
The MLK Day game is back in Memphis and will be showcase the Grizzlies against Anthony Davis and the Pelicans on January 21st. 4:30 pm tip.
The Grizzlies wrap up January with a handful of games against NOLA, Charlotte, Sac, Indiana, Denver.
Monday February 25th, Lakers visit for their second and final time of the season.
On February 27th, fan favorite Chicago Bulls play in Memphis with new addition Jabari Parker plus exciting rookie Wendell Carter Jr.
A familiar foe that is noticeably absent from the early season home games, OKC will come to town on 3/25.
Golden State will visit the Forum on 3/27, and then again shortly after, for the final game of the Grizzlies’ season on 4/10. Unfortunately, we will likely not see the full compliment of superstars because GSW will be resting up their studs for the playoffs in an attempt to 3-peat.
